Account in the US, trade show in the EU...will Square work?

Someone told me a US square account won't work anywhere but in the US...  is this true?  We're a little worried!  We're attending a trade show in the EU in a few months where we will be selling items there, and need our POS to work for us there...  will we be able to use our square reader (and square account) while at the show in Italy, even though our account is here in the US?  And is there any special thing we have to do here before we go over there?

Your US Square account will Not work when you travel abroad.  Due to agreements with the Credit card companies accounts can't be used outside of their initially approved region.  Similar to dvd region locking.  The Square POS app will work but you will not be able to take credit card payments.
