Can the close drawer page be fixed to have a required field?

Since the update made to Square 1-2 months ago the close amount field in the Cash Drawer Screen is no longer a required field therefore someone can by accident close the drawer without entering an amount. This is an issue. Please fix this!

Also, would be great if you can get rid of the close drawer description field too. It's not necessary and sometimes the amount gets put into that field by accident.

Hey there! This is a great feature request and I really see the usefulness these requests could have for your business. I will be sure to pass this onto the Point of Sale team as feedback for future updates!

As a potential workaround, you can enable employee permissions to have only managers open and close the cash drawer. While this will not lock in a required field, it will limit who has access to these functions and lessen the chances of closing a drawer without entering an ending balance.
