Re: Does anyone know why Apple Pay is not working on my website?
Posted 01-26-2021
Hi @portolacoffee, thanks for your post! This is actually an expected behaviour with Apple Pay. The ability to use Apple Pay is limited to Apple products which is why customers will only see it as an option when accessing a site through Safari. You can read more about Apple Pay compatibility here.
Thanks for sending that on @Pui! It's expected that Apple Pay won't appear as an option when you are browsing on Google Chrome, but it should be there when you access the site using Safari.
Would you mind send me the link to the website? What I can do is escalate this to our engineering team again so they can take a further look.

Hi @allthingsmeng, apology that I missed your message! I couldn't see the option for Apple Pay myself I've escalated this case with our ECOM specialist for further investigation. I'll reach out immediately once I have an update from the team.

Having the same issue... Google pay is showing up just fine for my online store in the cart. But no Apple Pay. It DOES show up if I use any of my direct checkout links. I have tried on several different Macs, iPhones, and iPad (yes, using Safari on Big Sur, iOS 14.4). I use Apple Pay for other things all the time so it's not my devices.
Checkout Link example (Apple Pay works)

Store Link:

[And yes you might notice the separate issue is no matter what size or format my banner is saved in, it appears low res and blurry on iOS devices. Ugh.]

Hi @bhbh and @smashnslide, thanks for flagging this! Since you've gone through all the recommended troubleshooting steps and Apple Pay is still not coming up in Safari, I've escalated this to our ECOM team so they can have a further look. Once I have an update from the team, I'l be sure to follow up and let you know immediately.

Hi @bhbh, @smashnslide and @zulaykhawrites, thanks for bearing with me while our team look into the issue with Apple Pay! The team have been able to roll out a fix so Apple Pay should now be visible to all customers when viewing your website using Safari browsers. I've checked this on my own test device and was able to see the option there for myself.
Let me know if there is anything else I can do for you!

@tranguyen I'm having a similar issue as described on my newly built site: https://smash-n-slide.square.site/
I have enabled Apple pay on the dashboard and have tried accessing the site via Safari from my mobile device which has Apple pay enabled and works for other sites but not my own, please can you advise?

@tranguyen Thank you! It is now working correctly.
@smashnslide I tried your site and Apple Pay shows up for me so hopefully itโs just the cache or something needing cleared and will work for you

If you have enabled Apple Pay on your website and still not seeing this option when checking via Safari, would you mind sharing a link to your website with me? That way, I'll be able to investigate it further on my end.
