Facebook integration for Square Appointments

Hello there! I am wondering if there is an existing app or if one is in the making that allows you to book appointments from my business facebook page. As of right now my book now button redirects clients from my facebook page to my website and then I have embeded the button book now in the code that then takes them to the square booking.  I had used SetMore in their trial period and they had an app on facebook that they were able to book their appointment directly on my business fb page. I am wondering if this is something they have yet to create or if it already exists and I just need to take the steps to link it. Any advice would be appreciated, thanks!

Hi @thelotusbloom, thanks for sharing your experience!

We don't have an integration option for Square Appointments + Facebook yet, but I can definitely see how this would remove unnecessary steps as your clients make bookings.

If you hover your mouse over the Book Now button on your facebook page, the menu will open and you will have the option to edit the button. Where it says website, put the address for your square appointment page there. 

That is what I have done. Client click it and it take thems to my online booking through square.

Have you tried to edit this recently? I cant get Facebook to respond, and I can not find ANYWHERE that will let me edit the link. When I click on "edit" it only allows me to edit the name of the tab, not the website associated with the tab!

Just wanted to update this thread with the latest information and resources. You can integrate your Square Appointments online booking site with your Facebook business page. This will make it easier for customers to book with you!

To start receiving bookings through Facebook, you will need:

• Facebook business profile

• Square Appointments online booking site turned on

G'morning—brand new Square user here.  I'm trying to connect to the Square Appointments business app in Facebook but I get an error dialog stating that "something went wrong."  I understand it may be a problem on Facebook's end but has anyone else run into this issue and found a remedy?

Thanks, Alanah but I'm afraid this answer isn't very helpful.  The instructions linked above appear to be out of date.  There isn't an option for "Link to Website" under the Book Now button.  The only options I have are "Appointments on Facebook" and "Connect to Another Tool", with the latter having "Appointments for Square" as an option.  However, when I select it and follow the setup prompts, I receive an error message reading, "Something went wrong.  This may be because of a technical error that we're working to get fixed. Try reloading this page."

I did search the community for related posts but didn't find a good match.  Even though it may be a Facebook issue, I posted here hoping that someone else had also encountered this issue and found a fix for it.  I guess it's just plain broken.  In the meantime I can use the Contact Us button to include a link to the appointment book.

what if you want to revoke permissions for squarer from facebook

Square, I would like to see this as well! Vagaro has it and it shows me where clients have booked from, Facebook, Instagram, mobile, desktop, or if I booked it through the app. This would be extremely helpful!

Whenever I try to link the book now but it says I don't have admin authority to do it. I'm the owner only one.

I suggest looking into our guide to Receive Appointment Bookings Through Instagram & Facebook if following that guide doesn't get you up and running then I will suggest you open a support ticket with Meta so they can look closer into this matter.
