How do I correct a sales tax error after a sale has already finished?
I sell my products at craft shows in multiple counties. I discovered after a recent show that I had more than one sales tax applied to my sales because I mistakenly had two counties set to "enable". It appears that my customers were charged sales tax TWICE. How can I refund the "overtax"?

Once a transaction is complete, you can't change it. The only change you can make is to refund the incorrect tax.
I would encourage this step, otherwise you've collected tax you shouldn't have. It will be a little tedious if you had a lot of transactions, but it's the right way to handle it. It was charged in error, therefore it should be refunded. It's good customer service also.

You can't refund "tax", you just have to refund the amount of the tax.
