I do not want there to be a mandatory card hold when scheduling appointments online. How do I remove?

From a web browser, go to your Dashboard and select in the menu Appointments > Settings > Payments & Cancellations.

 

There you can choose whether to require prepayment, or card info to hold the booking, or neither.
