Is there a way to send order tickets to my kitchen?

Is there a way to send tickets to my kitchen on another device, screen, or ipad to create a queue for the tickets. We take orders away from the kitchen now and have to run them over to the kitchen which is not entirely ideal for the flow of our kitchen and serving.

You can set up a printer in your kitchen and send orders to it and there is also a Kitchen Display System (KDS) that many people use.

The reviews for KDS are bad. Even though there are clearly documented issues, the app hasn't been updated since Dec 2017. Doesn't seem like a viable solution.

 

Are there any other solutions for a non-paper ticket system?

Currently Fesh KDS is the only kitchen display system we integrate with at this time. I agree, having more options would be awesome! I'll make sure to share this request with our Product Team!

I've been using Incoming by Salesvu. It had a lot of glitches when I started using it about a year ago, but since has been wonderful.

 

I am still curious as to why Square can't implement its own feature for this. I have to pay extra to use a separate sight and separate app. 

 

I do like some of the features that I get with Incoming, such as automated email or text sent to the customer when the order status changes.

 

What I really need from square is a way to mark orders delivered or shipped. Of course the additional features would be nice.

A more streamlined integration between multiple POS devices is a constant effort for us. I would expect for a similar feature to become available sooner than later when it comes to order tickets. We appreciate your patience here!

That's easy. Our clients all needed that too, so we already have it made, mastered and perfected...and it integrates directly with your Square Account....

We've got a non-printer ticket system! : )  And, we're an official Square Partner...so it integrates with any Square Account using your standard OAuth protocols.

We are reopening with some changes, We are going to have a drive thru service. How do I set up my second iPad to connect to the main drawer and print order tickets so that the people inside can start making the drinks?

So on a busy night we often have a lot of paper tickets which can easily fall or be misplaced. It would be great if there was a way to have a virtual "ticket board" which allows a screen to show all the tickets. Sort of like what you would see at McDonald's or places like that.

Gotcha. Square has a partnership with Fresh KDS that allows orders to appear on a second tablet in your kitchen. You'll need an Android tablet to download the Fresh app and connect it to your POS device as a printer.

Fresh kids may work better for your needs, but check out my post above in this thread about salesvu incoming app. It fits my needs better. Might be a better option for you. Requires an iPad if that makes any difference to you. Let me know if you have any questions about it.

Are you offering preorder for free as just a trial? It says $75 setup fee and $50 a month on the link you shared. 

 

I don't want an entire POS system, I just want a KDS so I can keep track of what orders I have completed and which I haven't.

 

$50/month is way out there for what I'm looking for.

Hi! We were offering it free at that time, but we got super busy. 

 

Do you happen to have any iPads or iPhones that you can run the KDS on? We can show you a live example of it if you like? 

 

Our latest version is on iOS (so iPads or iPhones). If you liked it, we can still give it to you, but because we're so busy, we'd have to charge a $50 setup fee and we could do $10/mo for the backend hosting, maintenance and support. 

 

DM us your email to set up a quick demo of it where you can test and use a real one.
