Name is now required on invoicing?

I've been sending invoices for a while and usually only have the email address unless they are a prior customer. I rarely have the name, and almost never both first and last name since they contact me via email. Once the invoice is sent they add all of their payment and address info, which takes care of the name issue.

 

Now I can't seem to send an invoice unless I have the name. And of course I don't since we've been corresponding via email. Is there a workaround for this? And why?????

Welcome back to the Community! 

 

I see what you mean. It looks like that is an updated feature to our Invoices, so you can build your Customer Directory. 

 

One workaround I can think of would be to use a filler for those names you don't have - use part of their email to fill up the name or another filler name. 

 

I could mention this as a possible Feature Request to our Product Team, so they see some of our sellers used the previous option.
