I've tried to enable taxes on an item in our online store. We have two delivery options, either pick up or shipping. For some reason the taxes are only applied if 'pick-up' is selected, any items being 'shipped' do not get charged taxes. How can I add the taxes to the shipped items?

Tax law is very complicated so it is best to consulte a tax lawyer in your home state, but in most cases sales tax does not need to be collected if you are shipping interstate (between states). Intrastate (within state) sales should collect tax as you collect for residents in the state you have you a physical presence. I beleve if you go thru the purchasing process on square to the point you chose where it is shipping to the tax will be added on if you chose your home state.
Here is a good link to try and help explain it.

Under your items/taxes tab you can create tax rules. That should help.
