Hi,
Under 'Customers' I can see a field that allows me to enter a 'gift card number' for each individual customer in the database (I can see it when I click on 'Edit Customer').
I can add the gift card number manually, but this is quite time consuming.
Is it possible to use the buil-in magstrip in the Square Stand to populate this field in the Customer screen? I would imagine so, as the Square Stand is able to read the Square Gift Cards.
For clarity - I am using only Square Gift Cards.
Please advise. We are a sailing club trying to use the gift card as member cards, so this feature is really important for us.

Thanks for getting in touch.
You can absolutely use the swipe reader with physical gift cards! You wouldn't need to press the "Gift Card" option - once you hit "Charge" in the POS app, simply swipe the gift card, like you would tap a normal card payment.
