Covid Cancellations... how can I return money taken more than 120 days ago?

We often have bookings a year in advance and now because there's no overseas travellers allowed to Australia I am in the position of having to refund bookings to overseas credit cards, but the 120 days for Square App refunds has passed!

Now I'm struggling to figure out how to pay these overseas travellers back. I have around 6 of them. I'd like to pay money into their credit cards, but that seems impossible.

Are we both going to lose money in overseas transaction fees through banks?

Was there anything set up for covid cancellations to help us deal with these refunds?

Thanks for getting in touch.

 

Square doesn't currently support card refunds after 120 days. If it's been more than 120 days since the transaction was first processed, you will need to arrange a separate refund for the customer via different means.
