Square reader not connecting

Hi There, we have been trying to connect our reader over the last week but everything we have tried is not working.

 

when we try to connect the wireless reader it says “reader not ready” in the orange bar at the top of the screen. It also says failed under the contactless and chip reader in the devices section. 

 

We just don’t know what to do, nothing on the internet or on square support has been able to help thus far 

 

If if you could help us that’d be great

Thanks for getting in touch. The "Reader Not Reader" error may be one of a number of issues. It's possible that your account has not yet been approved for card processing, or you may be using a non-compatible mobile device.

 

If you're trying to sign up to take payments as a club, association or NFP you should also read this first.

 

The best place to get further help for this issue would be to call our support team on 1800 760 137 so they can take a better look into your account status and operating environment 👍
