"Device not supported" Galaxy Tab A 8.0

I bought the Square chip card reader last week instead of a bank Eftpos machine. it worked fine on my Tab A.

 

7 days later and i'm getting "device not supported" messages.

 

What is this about?

 

I've tested the reader on other devices and it works. it's just sudden;y not interested in my Tablet.

 

Please help. io literally JUST changed from paypal here into this weirdness.

I checked on our Compatibility Page and that device looks to be compatible so you shouldn't have any trouble with it. 

 

Have you tried any troubleshooting steps? Make sure that both your Android Device and your Point of Sale app are fully updated to the latest version.

Are you still seeing this issue with your Tab A 8?

 

If so, I recommend giving our Australian support team a call on 1800 760 137 to troubleshoot the issue further.

 

The Tab A 8 should work, however if you're having issues there may be some device-specific troubleshooting steps our team can run you through to try and get things up and running.
