Test Partial Payments in the Invoices Request Deposit Beta

Hey everyone!

I’m excited to announce that we’ve rolled out a beta for accepting partial payments with Square Invoices!

This new feature will allow you to create a single invoice and track multiple payments on that invoice. This may also be useful for those of you who want to accept a deposit and collect the rest of the amount due later.

We know this is a feature many of you have been waiting for, so I hope you’ll help us test it out!

By using partial payments and providing us feedback, you will directly influence and improve the Square Invoices product. So please share your reactions and input.

Hello,

I began my inquiry to Square for partial payment acceptance.  I am told they are not doing it at this point, but then I also read you could sign up  as  part of Beta and have the option on your shop.   

Seems like many people want this option.  
So far it has not been added to my Square Account . 

I also have Pay Pal and accepting partial payment is an automatic option for all account holders. 

I am removing myself from this thread because all I am getting is hearing about everyone that wants to be “part of the Beta”, which I’m not certain exists.  Square has not responded to me to make this happen. 

Good luck as it seems like an obvious part of invoicing . Many business accept partial payment upfront .

This feature has been added to your account once I liked your initial comment. You can view this feature when you create a new invoice on your Square Dashboard. Look for "Request Deposit."

Sorry but it’s not working. That option does not appear when I create my invoices.

I would like access to this feature, as well. Most of the contracts I do require an up-front deposit/down-payment, then a final payment upon delivery. It would be nice to handle this with a single invoice rather than two. It helps with project tracking, as well.
