Feature Request: Kiosk / Hide Options

Feature Request: Kiosk / Hide Options

Since we cannot seem to get the actual functionality for a self service kiosk, can we at least get an update to the app, so that we do not see the menu items for things an employee does not have access too? (e.g. if the employee does not have access to reports... why does the menu item display? Seems it would make sense to remove instead of clicking on it and see the permissions error.

Yes, we have a self order kiosk product called Flash Order that is live on the App Store currently.  Here is the link

Flash Order:

- Is integrated with Square.  Download the app, import your menu from Square, and launch your customer facing kiosk in minutes.

- Features a Menu Wizard to edit your menu, add/edit pictures, and customize options to be customer facing.

- Includes a full featured KDS and/or is integrated with Star printers to manage orders.

- Has robust settings that let you control exactly how your customer interacts with the kiosk.

- etc

We would be happy to answer any additional questions.  You can shoot us a DM or email and we can talk through any specifics.

Thanks,

Flash Order

Is there a setting to allow "guest" (customer) to sign-in/register, enter email, and possibly make payment but NOT to edit other customers?

Thanks very much!

Hello, my website is johnnysclamshack.com any my email [Personal Informaiton Redacted]

@rch it sounds like a self-order kiosk could possibly help with what you are trying to do.

If it is a good fit for your concept, shoot us a DM and we can answer any specific questions, and walk through some details.

Thanks,

Flash Order

New to the square and using guided access. I set guided access to block. Other apps. Unsure how to restrict parts of the square could anyone elaborate on the process

Super Seller

@Cafemarkets, Look at item 4.3 in my earlier post about guided access. Essentially, once you’ve started GA you then draw shapes around the areas you don’t want folks to have access to. Once you finish and enable GA those areas will be protected and will no longer respond if touched.

Hi all - I'm sharing an update that self-order kiosk integrations are now available with a few partners. You can check them out in the "Restaurant Management" or "Points of Sale" categories of the Square App Marketplace!

These kisok partners like Flash Order integrate directly with your Square account, enabling you to import your catalog/menu, modify item names/images to make them buyer-friendly, and accept credit card payments using the Square hardware you own.

Hi @gamecoder5

Will you PM me the details on your self-service plan?

Thanks!

Hey @gamecoder5, I am interested in this project.

Could you PM me your website and product?

Thanks,

Natasha

It would be great feature if Square was to have a "KIOSK Mode" under the Library section, so that customers can use the POS system or iPAD Pro device to do self-serve customers.

The system would be locked down with PIN/Password to unlock/edit. This will prevent customers from making any changes

Just imagine the sales in Hardware Square would make if they enabled KIOSK mode. Sales of the POS hardware would go up!
