Please tell me this is in the works soon. We specifically need larger font for our cooks to be able to read the mods. They’re so tiny. I hope this feature is available very soon. Keep us updated. Thanks!!!
I have the same issue. It's nearly impossible for me functionally to work in the kitchen , the text is too small for anyone. This issue should be a simple code change and yet you have not implemented this. makes me question the future of this company on the retail side. These updates should be rapid.For this reason i will not be switching over my pos system.
@puka Just wanted to follow up on this issue. This issue was created on 07-22-2018 and it has been more than two years since feedback has been passed and in development and it's certainly not looking like this is a priority at all for Square.
Increasing the font size, especially for order tickets in the kitchen is not only a "want" feature, it's a "must" feature. Not everyone who works in the kitchen have perfect 20/20 eyesight. Please imagine your parents in their late 50s working in the kitchen, because that's the reality of most family owned small businesses. This should be escalated to the accessibility department, which at this point I'm convinced Square surely doesn't have.
Reading through the other threads, I understand this feature is in the work and won't be released until you can support all types of printer. While I understand the rationale, taking more than two years for such a simple and much needed feature is unacceptable. I will be moving my POS to another system.
Hi. Just installed a kitchen printer for my new location and some of the old staff members (cooks) have trouble seeing the order number, mainly do to the size and lighter shade, using a ribbon based printer not a thermal one.
Larger text is a must. I do have some older staff members in the kitchen that have to lean in close to read the ticket.
Also, the quantity needs to be more obvious on kitchen tickets. My staff is constantly missing the 2x, 3x, etc. This is something that needs more emphasis please. It is obviously an important part of getting the orders out right.
I've moved your post over to this thread where others have expressed interest in the ability to increase the font size on their kitchen printers. While this isn't currently possible, we will be sure to post an update to this thread if something changes in the future, @Tommy999.
We have the same issue here. Why is Square not taking this request to the top of backlog items list? I have to read the order to the kitchen staffs. This is so annoying.
