Feature Request: Add a payment installment platform to my website (Sezzle, Afterpay, Affirm, etc)

The title of this post has been edited from the original: When will Sezzle be added as a payment option?

I have been losing customers because I don’t have Sezzle as my option. I really

do not want to switch over to Shopify. I love my website here at Square! When will Sezzle or even AFTERPAY be available?

@Stellasmom

Square Online is eager and excited to announce our integration of Afterpay, allowing you to offer a buy now, pay later payment option on your Square Online site.

Available now, Afterpay lets your customers pay in four equal, interest-free installments over six weeks, while you get paid in full immediately. Learn more here.

*Please Note: Only certain business types are eligible to use Afterpay at this time.

Try Afterpay at no extra charge

Through May 10, 2022, you’ll pay the same 2.9% + 30¢ processing fee for Afterpay transactions as you do on all Square Online transactions. There’s no additional setup cost or monthly fee.1 2

Benefits of accepting Afterpay

✔️   Drive incremental sales: Sellers see a 20% increase in cart conversion on average, and more repeat customers.

✔️    Increase average order value: Afterpay lets customers get what they want, when they want it, increasing average order value by up to 40%.

✔️    Attract new customers: Merchants find that 30% or more of Afterpay customers are  new to their brand.

How Afterpay works for you

✔️    Get paid upfront: You'll get paid within days for purchases made with Afterpay.

✔️    Minimize your risk: We take on the risk, including chargebacks and fraud so you can focus on growing your business.

✔️    Receive daily settlement reports: Get access to transactional information that you can use to reconcile or verify orders.

With Afterpay, you’ll never miss out on a big sale.  And unlike other installment platforms competitors, Afterpay doesn’t require additional integration—it’s automatically available as a Square payment option for Square Online, and works out of the box. You’ll  also get paid up front—we assume the risk, including chargebacks and fraud. More questions? See our support article here

Coming Soon: Afterpay will be integrated with more Square products later this year—we’ll keep you posted!

You can enable Afterpay in your Square Online checkout settings here .

Turning on Afterpay means you have read and consented to the Afterpay Terms and Conditions.

Just an update!  Square is aquiring Afterpay so they should be integrating that payment option very soon.

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS~!!!!!!

Is there any update on when Afterpay might be available? The sooner the better for the holiday season!!

Now that Square has bought Afterpay, can we expect this service to be available soon to Square account holders @Seamus ?

We do not have an integration timeline to share at the moment, but we will make sure to update this thread once we do have details to provide.

I see the last update was in August.... Are they closer to a timeframe when this will be available? It's getting closer to Christmas and this would be awesome to offer this year!

Interesting that this was posted over a year ago, and it's still not been an update on Square. It seems that all other platforms have an installment option, so I wonder why Square hasn't given that as an option. I hope they do in the future because it is a draw for buyers.

I find this sad that Square dangled the option for credit in front of us in 2020 then pulled it off the platform due to COVID and their fear of being stiffed. Then to not allows us to grow by getting 4 pay or affirm or any other opportunity to allow customers to pay over time.  Yet they will offer us loans to grow our business (NEVER DO THIS) and not only take a minim payment form you but a percentage of every sale you make! This makes me wonder if they will not bring on other financing due to they will not get a big enough cut of the sale. Greed runs Square if I had not invested so much money in this website and payments I would be gone. Saving up little by little to make the move to a new platform that is easier to navigate and I can add the required tools I need to make my company grow. If you look at the post for August the carrot again dangled that we would get Afterpay .... and nothing!! so sad !! I wish the whole community would boycott using Square for 1 week that would send a message Just say the readers are down we apologize for the inconvenience we are only able to accept cash Set up cashApp andtake in your sales that way Then maybe Square will see the error that they are making

Can they AT LEAST give us some type of update?  A timeline...something?  Surely they know how important this would be for small businesses.  Didn't Square start as an application for independents and micro-businesses???   Other entities have been offering it for a while.  I even use it to manage inventory payments.  They keep adding app integrations that are useless to me.  Please add something that will help us.

I posed this same question to Square OVER a year ago. Like all the other comments we’ve been hearing it’s coming or now you can use Google Pay, Apple Pay now CashApp 🤷🏽‍♀️. WHO CARES?!!!!! That’s not what the majority is asking for. I held out from switching to another platform in late summer because Square said, “oh, we will be implementing Afterpay soon.” Well that was August & now here we are in another holiday season with no resolution in sight & this ticks me off as a small business. How can I increase sales if I don’t have various payment options to present to my Clients? How can become competitive if I don’t have sufficient payment options? How can I remain relevant with the ever changing tools in merchandising? I won’t even get in the marketing aspect of Square (SMH). I feel like I keep paying & paying & paying with very little in return in Square. I may miss the 2021 Thanksgiving/Black Friday/Christmas rush of sales through my site but I definitely won’t miss 2022. I’m going to start exploring other options. I can’t deal anymore. Too many missed sales for my comfort.
