Feature Request: Add a payment installment platform to my website (Sezzle, Afterpay, Affirm, etc)

I have been losing customers because I don’t have Sezzle as my option. I really

do not want to switch over to Shopify. I love my website here at Square! When will Sezzle or even AFTERPAY be available?

I merged your post to a relevant thread on Afterpay/Quadpay and systems like that.

@nika provided more details above but currently this is a feature request!

My boutique is wanting to branch out to different accounts like AfterPay, Affirm, Sizzle, etc but they do not support Square. Is this something Square is in charge of or am I not able to use these other accounts because Square does not offer a "shop now pay later" function? Should I get a different software for my business?

Hey @BritRohrs- You're correct. This type of payment plan isn't supported through our Square Online Store.

It looks like it's been a popular feature request among the Weebly Community. So feel free to follow long on that thread so that you can be made aware if there are any new developments.

Retail boutiques like most of your square customers are trying to compete against other stores offering sezzle or Afterpay. Game changer for many business especially in times like these...

Your square installments are just not a good match for retail boutiques.

80% of my competitors offer Sezzle or Viabill. It's really a disadvantage not having a comparable solution.

With the decision that Square Installments will not be coming back is there a plan for a different option? Maybe an integration with someone like Afterpay?  I know they integrate with eckwid, but using Square Online is a large preference for many merchants.  It's very helpful to offer customer an installment option outside of the old school layaway and it seems Afterpay is huge in the marketplace.

Hi there, @MoniJ 👋 thanks for reaching out to us here on the Seller Community! Happy to hear from you again.

Currently we do not have a shareable timeline to offer in regards to when the Installment option will be returned for Seller continued use. Our Teams are continuing to make determinations on how to move forward with our offerings in the age of Covid, and we will be sure to vocalize any new changes heavily when we know more. 

In the meantime, our Product Teams are currently tracking Feature Request volume for an integration with AfterPay. I've gone ahead and merged your post into an existing thread of Sellers who were also looking for this feature to become available, as well. We will also push out new information for this as we know it.

Thanks!  I received an email that said installments is not coming back. So we have that answer.

I know a lot of merchants are interested in items such as AfterPay because it is so widely used.
