Feature Request: Add a payment installment platform to my website (Sezzle, Afterpay, Affirm, etc)

The title of this post has been edited from the original: When will Sezzle be added as a payment option?

I have been losing customers because I don’t have Sezzle as my option. I really

do not want to switch over to Shopify. I love my website here at Square! When will Sezzle or even AFTERPAY be available?

@Stellasmom

Square Online is eager and excited to announce our integration of Afterpay, allowing you to offer a buy now, pay later payment option on your Square Online site.

Available now, Afterpay lets your customers pay in four equal, interest-free installments over six weeks, while you get paid in full immediately. Learn more here.

*Please Note: Only certain business types are eligible to use Afterpay at this time.

Try Afterpay at no extra charge

Through May 10, 2022, you’ll pay the same 2.9% + 30¢ processing fee for Afterpay transactions as you do on all Square Online transactions. There’s no additional setup cost or monthly fee.1 2

Benefits of accepting Afterpay

✔️   Drive incremental sales: Sellers see a 20% increase in cart conversion on average, and more repeat customers.

✔️    Increase average order value: Afterpay lets customers get what they want, when they want it, increasing average order value by up to 40%.

✔️    Attract new customers: Merchants find that 30% or more of Afterpay customers are  new to their brand.

How Afterpay works for you

✔️    Get paid upfront: You'll get paid within days for purchases made with Afterpay.

✔️    Minimize your risk: We take on the risk, including chargebacks and fraud so you can focus on growing your business.

✔️    Receive daily settlement reports: Get access to transactional information that you can use to reconcile or verify orders.

With Afterpay, you’ll never miss out on a big sale.  And unlike other installment platforms competitors, Afterpay doesn’t require additional integration—it’s automatically available as a Square payment option for Square Online, and works out of the box. You’ll  also get paid up front—we assume the risk, including chargebacks and fraud. More questions? See our support article here

Coming Soon: Afterpay will be integrated with more Square products later this year—we’ll keep you posted!

You can enable Afterpay in your Square Online checkout settings here .

Turning on Afterpay means you have read and consented to the Afterpay Terms and Conditions.

Thanks for the quick reply, @MoniJ - interesting, indeed. I have fielded many requests for AfterPay as well. We will definitely keep you updated!

I am extremely interested in an payment option for my customers.  As I read in the thread, I too have competitors that are able to offer this option.  I don't want to change from Square, but if this isn't offered soon or confirmed that it is on the horizon, I may have to make the difficult decision to look for another POS.

Yes, please. This would really help us increase cart size and sales on a regular basis! I am competing with businesses who offer these services and they are crushing me.

I really need a platform like Afterpay to link with my website before November 2020.  I like my website, but may have to use another platform if this doesnt happen soon.

Hi,

How can I add Sezzle or Afterpay to my website? I'm loosing a lot of customers because I don't have that option please help.

Will Sezzle, Afterpay or anything similar be available soon?

This is a must before the Holidays for small online businesses...We are competing with businesses who offer these services and they will just crush us...

I have requested this for over a year and see that I am not the only one. I feel like we are just getting the run around. I would love to know if this is something you are working on soon or if it is just not going to happen? We are small businesses that can really benefit with services like these!!!!!

Hi there. I love Sezzle and AfterPay - and one you didn't mention, ViaBill. Most of them all have Wordpress Plugins, so what we did is just make a Wordpress Website with WooCommerce as the E-Commerce Plugin - with the Square WooCommerce Plugin, so it connects to our Square Account. Then we simply installed the ViaBill Plugin. I'm guessing you can do the same with Sezzle and AfterPay.

We're an official Square Partner, so we help businesses make creative websites, pages and mobile apps all the time.

You could even create a 1-page style shop page just for allowing Customers to checkout with those options and then stick it right inside your existing website - or simply add a button to your current website that opens the page where the WooCommerce Shop is. That's what we did.

If you want to take a look at our Shop page, it's here: https://getpreorder.com/shop

Hey @Cheer-Haven,

I moved your post to an existing thread for this feature request.

If it ever does become available we'll be sure to update the thread.

We need to have a payment plan option ASAP like Sezzle or Afterpay.  Many of us stores are losing business as our competitors are offering these options and it's much more appealing to customers.  I've been looking into switching to Shopify because Square is not accommodating this request.  I have mentioned this multiple times to my rep and in discussions.  Very frustrating because I do like everything else about Square other wise but we cannot continue to lose business.

@PreOrder_Apps, have you had a good experience with ViaBill? Most of my competitors are using Sezzle, which charges 6% per transaction vs. ViaBill's 2.9%. I have seen a number of negative reviews for ViaBill, but there must be another reason why more merchants are choosing Sezzle at 2x the rate over ViaBill. Any idea why?
