Feature Request: Square Gift Card and eGift Card redemption via a third-party website

The title of this post has been edited from the original: Can Square gift cards be used in my Wix site?

We use Wix to host our small business website and just upgraded to their online store functionality becuase it gave us the ability to customize and look like a cohesive party of our website. 

We are still using Square to process our payments. We were wondering if Square gift cards and discount codes can still be redeemed on our website?

We've been really happy with our service with Square but really need more customization for selling our classes. Any help is appreciated! Thank you!

I just tested it and "saved cards" even shows it as an option on checkout if the customer's email matches in Square. 

One major blocker even if you exclude the required Exp date + CVV is that the total in cart needs to be below the Gift Card amount.

Does show that it is likely not a huge lift of Square/WooCommerce part!

There's never going to be an update.  There's nothing but vague responses from wix devs and no guidance for any 3rd party devs looking to solve this ridiculous issue.  Gift card functionality in 2020 should literally be a given but sadly Wix doesn't care.  Myself and so many others have appealed to them for a resolution and all we get is "use the coupon codes".  This just doesn't work for many reasons, the main one being the customer is forced to use the entire balance in one shot.  Sorry i know your frustration and i feel for ya.

I'm working on a site for a brewery that uses Square POS in their tasting room. They also sell physical and digital Square gift cards that people have traditionally used in person.

Of course with COVID, the tasting room is closed, and the brewery is offering home delivery, with beer purchased on their website through WooCommerce. We're using Square as the credit card processor. Of course, people who bought gift cards are asking to use them on the site, but my research is leading to dead ends. It seems that this is impossible, which really shocks me.

Is there a way to allow customers to use Square gift cards on their WC site?

We still aren't available for gift card acceptance with third party websites like WooCommerce and can't say we ever will have it.

They're able to be used with our own Online Store with Weebly but not third party sites.

Please fix this. I know you are all so focused on Weebly but just fix this dumb issue. Literally Wix plus square full integration would be amazing

so it's been almost three years. apparently not enough time to solve this fault. it is meaningless to buy a gift card if you can use it to pay for a service, as well it is absurd to connect with square if it is not working in favor of their customers, like us trying to sell our services. But square is ok to charge a fee for everything, right?

Also, I've been published in the local list of gift cards in the wrong category, I'm the owner of a medical clinic. and I'm the group with the nail salons, I looked everywhere and there is not a chance to change this.

Any update on this issue? The "work arounds" don't work for me. I need my customers to be able to just type in the gift card number and redeem it without a lot of weird steps.

Haven't seen anything happening.

Personally, I've set aside any use of Square Gift Cards until it can integrate properly.

Best (free) alternative that I'd recommend is a solution from the fine programmers at Pimwick - easy to implement, lightweight, fully integrated Gift Cards. I've had no issues with it at all.

I would also highly recommend their WooCommerce Bulk Edit plugin while you're at it.
