How can I disable the use of "Custom Amount"?

Is it possible for me to disable the use of Custom Amount as I want our retail sales people to be selecting the actual item that the customer is purchasing and not keying in the amount separately? This will help us clean up our bookkeeping on the back end. Thanks!

Could we at least learn why this seems to be such a difficult request to fix?

There are plenty of other areas of square that need a certain passcode to access, why can't custom amount be added to that??

Why isn't there a way to take it off the main screen so as to make it as hard to find as the actual item that is being sold?

This negative issue has been going on for well over 3 years now, so it seems like obviously the "Development Team" does not care about this request. Please provide some evidence to the contrary.

Being a brand new customer I find this very discouraging. This limits the ability to sync to our accounting software as promised in tracking our sales data. I am logging the time frame of this simple IT request and plan to track the true customer service abilities of Square.

Is there a way to disable the custom amount option on transactions? Or at least require a text box? We are trying to come up with a cohesive way to identify items that we have missed adding to our system.

I'm sure this problem seems not significant, but we have been using square for 5 years and this feature creates a huge mess. I even know a company that moved from Square because of this issue.

Would be great to know if there is any development.

There are 3 amounts above the keyboard, no idea where they came from and it’s easy to tap them accidentally and get added the total. How do I zero them out?

Hi,

Just being another voice of reason on here. This should be an option to opt out as it is easy for people to make up prices without approval for items. Should be able to restrict access to this feature.
