Adding Item Images to Variations in Square for Retail

Currently having a photo for each variation is a feature request for Square for Retail. I've gone ahead and moved this thread to the feature request board of the Seller Community. We will move all related posts to this thread to track the requests in one place.

This thread is actually a few years old and is relevant to our old online store we had before Weebly so there are definitely some changes. 

It sounds like your store may of just migrated to the new Weebly store. 

Have you played around in your store editor on the Dashboard at all since this change? Let me know what you've looked at so far so I can best assist.

See my March 2019 comment.  Weebly has the same issue ... no individual photos for variants.

I run a shop that has a VAST array o unique individual items falling under a specific item category. adding photos whith my phone app works well at the item level, fast and etc. but if I list things as a variation I have to take photos, go back to the desktop and send photos from phone to desktop site and add photos there, which is EXTREMELY time consuming. I opted to list everything individually, but when 1 vendor has 200 UNIQUE items that gets to be a bit of a drag. How is someone suppose to pick a unique hand made item that is completely different without a photo to look at? That's right, they cannot. Why OH WHY cannot an image add to the variation section on the pos app be added? Simple...an app writer goes in and adds a IMAGE add section to the variation add. Man sometimes I wish i was in charge of this!!

Ditto and Ditto! I would like photo for each variation. And Register vs Retail/Online is very confusing.

Yes, this will determine whether or not I choose Square as my online selling platform or not. Doesn't sound like it is coming any time soon though, right?

Yes! Can we get pictures for each variation? It would save a TON of setup time 🙂

Insane that this isn't a feature yet. 

There are so many of these little issues with Square for Retail and Weebly that make both products almost not worth the hassle.
