Retail: Can I upload a purchase order to square or do I have to manually enter it?

I am try to figure out if I can scan my purchase orders and upload them to square without having to type them out! Any help will be nice

Didn't read the entire thread because it seems to not have been addressed in the over two years this has been discussed. I am just learning POs and am frustrated because 1) I can upload items to my library but not a purchase order.

2) I can easily print labels from a newly received PO but have to search item by item or remove items from a category in order to print the labels I need. 

Maybe I'm not seeing the path here. But this disconnect is frustrating (already said that). I'm thinking the work around is upload the item library, then create PO, then print labels? Is there a better way to do this?

I’m in the same boat. This system is half-baked, I feel like Square is letting us down here. If you really care about small businesses, these are the types of features that make a difference. I honestly don’t know why I’m paying fir such a costly “Retail” subscription with such an inadequate way of dealing with PO.

Just adding our voice to this request as well!!!  The vast majority of our orders are net new items, sometimes more than 1000 at at a time.  Sure, I can import the items into my library, but then printing labels is an absolute NIGHTMARE if I don't have a PO.... but creating a PO for ALL of those items is also a nightmare.  The suggestion of duplicating a PO does absolutely nothing to solves this- a very simple excel import feature would FIX this.  I echo the statements of others saying this should have been a basic requirement... there are SO many basic features square for retail fails on, and the longer we use the platform the more I wish I would have saved my money on the system and went with something else!

Adding another voice to this. This is an absolute must have feature. Manually adding hundreds of items to purchase order is NOT sustainable. Import items to library is already available. Being able to associate items to PO via an uploaded csv OR upload csv direct to PO and add items at the same time would save a ton of time!

 

Also couldn't find an API that deals with Purchase orders. Please consider adding ability to add/remove/update items to PO via API as well.
