I just checked on this, and the ability to replace the time slot with other text in the business hours section of your booking site isn't available at this time.
Out of curiosity, can you provide more information regarding why this would be helpful? I'd like to share these details with our Appointments team who is always making improvements based on seller feedback.
How do I set my regular business hours (NOT my appointment hours) to "by appointment only" or "call to schedule"? I am running a business where people go to my website to order craft items to paint, but then come into my studio to pick them up. I don't want them thinking they can come here whenever they want, as I'm not always around and this isn't a full time business. Irritatingly, in order to have "pick up in store" as my shipping option, I have to have business hours listed. Worse, the customer has to select a pick up time from the listed hours in order to be able to check out. I want the drop down box when they're checking out to say, "Call or text to schedule your pick up". Can you please make this happen?
Hi @Pottery1 - I definitely could see how this would be useful. And I appreciate you taking the time to give some context to your request.
One clarifying question here, are you just using our Online Store? - or do you also utilize the Appointments subscription? I ask because the Appointments feature should allow you to set specific windows of time for your customers to book availability for picking up their pottery. More info on Appointments and this specific feature here.
We strive to make both our Appointments and Online Store features as customize-able as possible, in hopes to bring a tailored experience to each business. If you can't find an acceptable workaround for this, I would recommend reaching out to our Support Team. They are fully equipped to assist troubleshooting here.
I have personal training loft and it is "by appointment only" and I cannot book appointments unless I am technically open some hours. Like, rhondamiga, I am not always there, or other trainers need to book time and I don't always know their schedules.
Yes this feature would be helpful. My business is by appointment only. But because I am forced to post hours. People just show up at my office because my hours are published. By appointment only means. Call and make an appointment. Dont show up to make an appointment
I agree with all of the comments below. This is a needed feature because many of us do work by appointment only, especially with COVID. I'm solo and I'm only at my studio when I have appointments. Also, as someone mentioned, sometimes we have times available that are outside of our posted business hours. People may not even check our booking link because they would assume that time isn't available - this is why this feature and a waiting list for Square appointments would be helpful. It's not feasible to change business hours because then you have clients expecting to talk to you when you're not open.
