Can I use the Loyalty Program with Square Invoices?

So my business is mainly an online boutique soI send invoices for items purchased.  Can the loyalty program still work via invoices or does it have to be an acutal card swiped?

I thought I wanted Loyalty points on my invoices but I'm actually preferring it not to be. 

If someone pays me right away for my product/service they get the points. If they want "terms" where I invoice them for a later date or multiple payments they don't get the points.

It's nice to say "sure I can invoice you and you can make a payment over a period of time but you don't get your loyalty points!" Provides an incentive to pay in full up front.

Unfortunately, Square's Loyalty program does not integrate with Square Invoices. I absolutely see how it would be useful to have that feature on our Square Invoices.

I sent myself a coupon to test how it works. But there is no place to enter coupon number in the invoice. I bought my product myself without being able to use the coupon. Anyone help???

Hi @SWACIA - thanks for surfacing. I'm afraid coupon/reward codes are not redeemable when paying an invoice. It's been address on this thread. I moved your post to join others looking for this feature.

Hello, Is there a projected timeline for addressing this issue yet? Checking in again to see if any progress has been made on this issue, please. Having to manually add rewards to customers who pay using recurring invoices is using more and more of my time.  We need this feature as soon as possible, especially considering the fees merchants pay for recurring invoices.

 

I need loyalty points to be awarded by paid invoices.  I manage a wine club and am using the loyalty program as a work around to track wine pickups by club members and manage their status.  Club members are invoiced using recurring invoices and a card on file.  It makes more work and time for me to have to go into each club member's account and add rewards by hand.  It would also be helpful if the loyalty program description made it clear that loyalty points are not awarded by invoices.  I like the Square system and am trying to keep my business activities within the Square system instead of having to look for alternatives, such as for managing the wine club. Thanks!

Looks like this feature request is >3 years old.  Amazing that Square rolled out new features to help during pandemic but are still unable to accept discounts from their own marketing tool.

I am seeing that there are 12 pages requesting this to be a feature, any movement on this? I just signed up using the 30 day free trial today,, but I might cancel before I can even use it. I use the square store online for holiday sales and cookie classes, but 90% of my sales are through invoicing so I'm not paying "x" amount of money per month for something I have to physically mange myself.

please any updates on this? we send a lot of invoices and our clients that use loyalty in store keep asking us to update their loyalty and it's a huge PITA

Any update on this or any creative ways I can charge a client remotely and they receive points/text automatically as they would physically in the store? I just need one time charges to work and was super disappointed invoicing wasn’t Intergrated with loyalty after 5 years of people asking..  I tried work arounds like charging from the pos app vía the send payment link option but that still doesn’t even work. Any suggestions or no matter what the customer has to physically be at the store?

I hear your frustration not having Loyalty points accrue on payments made via Invoices. At this time, the workaround would be to manually add loyalty points to your customer's profiles - learn more here. While we advocate internally for all suggestions we receive here, we're unfortunately not able to guarantee if, or when a given request will be implemented.
