Feature Request: Add custom HTML such as hyperlinks and links to Appointment confirmation email

The title of this post has been edited from the original: Add custom HTML to Appointments email confirmations

Hello,

I'd love to include a custom hyperlink to the automatic emails that are sent out with successfully scheduled appointments, using the Appointments service offered by Square. My intention is to refer customers to a page where they can provide additional information about the events I'm offering as services.

Would including an href attribute (or something similar) do the trick or is this functionality not currently possible?

Re: Linking appointments to video conference service, such as zoom.

Hi @jarkin13 ,

For this inquiry, please contact our Appointments Team directly in order to have a specialist look into your case. Feel free to reach them via email here, or by giving them a call Monday-Friday, 6am-6pm PST - but you'll also need your customer code.  The steps to look up your code are here.

Send us a message if you need anything else.

Hi Ashley and Joe,

Yes, we need Square to automatically generate the Zoom links and send them to the clients. Other appointment schedulers do this.

It saves the business owner from having to 1) go on Zoom, 2) set up an appointment on the Zoom calendar (duplicating the work the scheduler did on Square), 3) create a link and password, 4) send that link and password to the client.

In other words, if Square would do it, it would save us 4 steps with each client. I'd like to keep using Square's appointment scheduler, but those 4 steps are a problem during this time when all of my appointments need to be online.

If Square isn't coordinated with Zoom, can the team work on coordinating it? Thanks for your help.

Sincerely,

Suzanne

Following this thread, and hoping that Square adds booking links for Zoom soon!

@TongenTouch we will add your feedback with the others. Thank you for following the thread and adding your voice to this! Have a nice day! 🙂

@AshleyK This is a must and it was a must before covid. I primarily book Video Conference/Phone appointments and have booked appointments via Zoom. But I also want to start testing Google Meet one day - so maybe having integration with Meet, Ms Teams and RingCentral. I simply cannot use the platform without it. For now I have to use Wix Bookings as they already have the Zoom integration for appointment bookings. But they arent available on Instagram booking button and Facebook booking button. Please implement this asap.

YES!! I need to add Zoom link as a location when choosing a Service. This would be very helpful considering the COVID times... also the ability to add more locations other than the Business location since many of my clients have OUTSIDE or Parks as locations and not an actual brick & mortar business.

I don't want a messy workaround like what was suggested either. Great that Zapier provides that function but I don't like reaching out to a 3rd party when sensitive information is involved.

The only thing that is stopping me from using Square Appointments is the inability to integrate with Google Meet or other video conferencing services. Not being able to integrate makes Square Appointments significantly less useful especially in this new era where meetings have gone virtual.

Following this thread. It seems like everything I need Square to be isn’t. This should be a basic feature and shouldn’t cause duplicative work just to schedule a video conference. Each time I consult these threads it’s the same answer, out product team will be made aware. Doesn’t do me much good.

Dear Square People,

It has become absolutely necessary for me to book all of my appointments using Zoom and I need to have that option now due to Covid. I am wondering when that integration may happen in appointments.  Thanks!

With the Business Accepted Appointment emails we currently send it, I would like to include a picture that easily communicates a few of the expectations we have for customers before they arrive at the store that revolve around COVID. It is easier for customers to get info from an image with icons vs. them having to read a wall of text. Is this possible through something like an attachment or HTML etc?

I'm one of these brick-and-mortar businesses that has gone 100% to virtual services using Zoom, due to the pandemic. I expect I will continue down this road even when the pandemic if over.

What I want to do is:

1) Have a client (or me) schedule an appointment through Square Appointments.

2) This creates a new Zoom meeting with a unique Zoom Meeting ID.

3) The Zoom meeting is also scheduled in Google Calendar.

4) The end result is I have an Zoom meeting listed as an appointment in Square Appointments, Zoom and Google Calendar. Any changes made in Square Appointments will update both Zoom and Google Calendar. Ideally I could also make changes in Zoom or Google to have them reflect the other two calendars, but that might be pressing my luck.

Is this possible with Square Appointments. My internet search took me to a thread here that says it's not available, as of March 2020. Any progress on this? I love Square and would prefer to keep integrated my card processing and appointment scheduler, but Sq. Appointments seems rather limited in features. It's an excellent system being for free, but I won't be able to use it with Zoom integration.

Thank you!
