Feature Request: Allow my client to pay for multiple appointments in one transaction

Feature Request: Allow my client to pay for multiple appointments in one transaction

The title of this post has been edited from the original: Appointments Application: How do I checkout and include multiple appointments on one ticket?

I recently did a soft launch of my business. I tried to close out my appointments and process them all under one ticket but quickly realized this was not possible. In my business model, I can go to a location with multiple contractors. Each contractor can have 1 to many services booked for the day. I need the ability to check out, add multiple appointments to one ticket, and charge that payment to one customer. - Example 1: Jane gets her cut by John, her makeup done by Carol, and her hair styled by Miguel. Jane is just one customer and should not have to process her card 3 different times. - Example 2: John gets his hair done by Max, his beard trimmed by Joe, and decides he wants to pay for Jane's bill in example one. In addition, there is a contractor attached to each service and they get a 70% commission and so this needs to be tracked accordingly for payroll. Currently, I do not see a way to do this. So I figured I'd post here to see what my options may be... This is a big problem for my business model. Thank you in advance for your help and guidance. JenVerg

Re: How can one client pay for another client I instead of paying separately

Ah, so you're asking if it's possible to pay for two appointments in one card swipe.

This feature has been requested by others in this thread so I've moved your post here - thanks for letting us know how it would benefit your customers. I circled back and this is currently still a feature request. We'll update this thread if we hear any updates!

Re: Appointments Application: How do I checkout and include multiple appointments on one ticket?

Hi @JenVerg, thanks for your post. At this time it's not possible to check out multiple Appointments at the same time, you will need to check out one appointment at a time.

I understand that this isn't ideal for your business model but I'm glad you let us know how you'd like to use Square Appointments. I'll share this feedback with our Appointments team and it will help them to prioritize which features to build next!

currently, there is not a way to checkout 2 different appointments at the same time.  I don't use the appointments feature so I don't know if someone has figured out a workaround, but I haven't seen one posted.

Yes please make this an option soon. I often have multiple clients paying with one card.

Is it possible to group a family together at checkout when using square appointments?

We really need this feature as well as all barbershops and salons. An ETA is what we want -

Not an answer of : "hopefully our appointment team will do it in the future".

I would like to ring out more than one customer on the same bill for example a mom and son are getting their haircut and she is paying for both how can I ring out both of them together? And have them both be taken off my appointment book without adding something or putting it in her name

Is there a way to make one transaction for two separate appointments instead of two separate transactions? Thank you

Hi @GJA! We don't have a way to combine two appointments into one transaction at this time. I moved your question over to this thread so we can continue to track this feature request. 👍

Looking for an update on this...right now we add a gift card to one appointment checkout transaction in the amount of the second appointment cost then checkout the second appointment using the gift card as payment.  This ensures that the stylist who performed the service gets the commission...but there has to be a better way to do this.

Looking for an update on this...using Square Appointments...example two (or more) family members come in at the same time and receive services from different commission-based employees and want to pay together.

Right now, as a workaround, we add gift cards to the payment transaction of one appointment then use those gift cards to checkout the other appointments.  This is messy.  A search of the Square community shows that this is a topic that is requested by many people for many businesses.  Please update!

Definitely hear that this is a Feature that you and others would like, and something we do continue to pass to our Product team. At this time we do not have any specific updates around this Feature but we do continue to track this.

Your solution is creative and does solve for the issue created with different providers and different services. It's messy for sure, but glad it works and will pass that information to the Product team as well - that kind of information can help us build solutions in the future.
