Feature Request: Create packages including multiple services via Square Appointments

The title of this post has been edited from the original: How to schedule multi packs with Square Appointments?

Hoping to find some help here.  We offer a service that clients can pay for and book appointments online. Great. The problem is that there are discounted packages if multiple treatments are purchased at one time, if this option is chosen, the client is only able to schedule one appointment as opposed to multiple separate appointments for each of the treatments they purchase.  Is there a way to make this work? Thanks in advance.

Re: Create Recurring Invoices in the Square App

Hello @coriumesthetics!

As a workaround you could use recurrning invoices with Square Appointments for a package, and view the number of invoices remaining in the series. However, you can't images to a recurring invoice series, I'm sorry!

Another workaround is to create a single service for package deals you offer but you'd need to track the number of sessions completed manually. You could ask customers to contact you directly for packages, and then schedule each session in the package deal as a separate appointment to ensure clients are charged for each session.

I'm adding your post to this thread where other sellers are interested in using Appointments to create and manage packages. We'll update the status to give you a heads up about any developments on this feature request.

As for your question about marketing by text - you might like to subscribe to this separate thread for updates!

Re: How to schedule multi packs in appointments

Yep! While we don't have a way to automatically apply discounts when customers book more than one service, you can create bundles as individual services. For example if you are a personal trainer, you can list 5 sessions at the discounted price as one appointment.

When your customer comes in for their first appointment, you then can manually book their next, or all upcoming, appointments through your Appointments Dashboard. In your client information section of Dashboard you have the ability to add notes and view past appointments so you can keep track of their remaining appointments even if the schedule one at a time!

Hey @AggieTutor - Thank you so much for taking the time to share your feedback here. I have forwarded your post to our Appointments team to consider for future improvements. We'll make sure to announce any updates as we hear of them.

I second this question....any responses to this?

I would love to switch to Square Appointments from Acquity, but need these features as well. Is there any progress getting packages available?

Hello @Tryneliza!

Currently we're still collecting feedback for this feature request. We will make an announcement on this thread if there's any progress! 🙂

**Coming close to the end of 2018**...Not trying to be a difficult customer,☺️ as I too work in a service oriented company...However...as you see, this thread originally started a little over two years ago... I completely understand that priorities change constantly, I do, but 2 years...I believe this isn’t as big an issue that it should take this long to figure out.

Sorry to say but I know “booker” was able to configure it in a much shorter amount of time...and also working at a quickly growing tech company, our labs were able to create the reality of an idea, from one of my agents, within 24 hours. (Which I do realize It could’ve been an easier task.) I just feel if you want to become the best, wouldn’t you want to grow your network, the beauty industry alone is a huge market.. (obviously your marketing strategies may be different, we don’t know) and many other industries, as well, and I know we aren’t the only ones that use a series option. I am calm, not mad or aggravated nor am I blaiming any certain person.. I am just simply confused and disappointed that this issue hasn’t been a “priority” within the last 2, going on 3(I’ll assume) years.

I own a spa and would like to echo the interest to have the option to sell a series/package! I am currently using a different reservation system and POS. Square was recommended to me by a colleague so I have recently been using it as a supplemental POS to familiarize myself with it. I like the features offered and would gladly switch to Square but the ability to sell a series/package is vital. Until the option is available I will stick with the other POS.

Hi there! My business partner and I love this as an option for our clients. We own a health and fitness spa with tanning beds and want to know if its possible to use this for tanning packages. Our current software allows for prepaid packages that elimiate a tan as they are used.

Thank you!

there isn't a way to have a package set up exactly as you have said with a package having 5 credits and taking one off each use.  but a workaround some people use is to sell a gift card and load it with the value of 5 sessions and then they can just swipe the card at checkout and it will reduce the value remaining for future sessions.

I agree. I am an archery instructor and packages would be very benifical. Gift Certificates are a workaround, but an annoying one. IT would be bettetr for a client to be able to booko several appointments at one time as a package price or as multiple single appointments.

Is there any update on if and when we will be able to sell service packages? most of my return clients are with packages, would be great if could do this on square appointments.

Would like to setup in service menu a way to sell multiple massage sessions at reduced rate and the system track unused sessions. Would make square the perfect business solution with these two features.

And promo codes are highly needed also, I would prefer to not switch scheduling, would like to at least know if these features are in the works?
