Feature Request: Merge invoices to allow customers to make a single payment for multiple invoices

Title changed from "invoice HELP" to "Is there a way to see all of one customer's invoices together?" 

 

Do you think Square will make invoices where you can see all of one customers invoices together? I would like the option to see all of their invoices on their square profile. That way they can pay their full balance together, instead of seperate. They also need more options under the invoice feature. More detailed reports and more. With a couple of updates to invoices, it would be a great feature! Do not currently use because of this!!!

Let's see if this would work for you, @ericinLA!

 

From your Dashboard > InvoicesReports. You can select up to 10 invoices for a customer and send a customer statement.

Locate the customer, then click the three dots to the far right of that line > select Send reminders

 

 

This will allow you to include up to 10 outstanding invoices in 1 email, and your customer can click each link to pay.

Hello @Hillside, are you referring to Square Invoices? The section about the ticket feature has thrown me off. If you could provide more details that would be great.

1st I would like to be able to merge invoices so customers can pay one bill instead of multiple invoices. Let’s say the customer bought three items in two months. At the end of two months they want to pay for all of them. I dont want to cancel the other invoices because we have lots of ticket information about the orders. 

 

We can’t just add items under invoice for the customer, because it does not print out a ticket on the ticket paper. We use this to give our designer to fufull order. 

I see what you mean now @Hillside! Although this ability isn't avalible right now I'll make sure to share your feedback with our Invoices Team! I'm sure other businesses could benefit from this.  🙂

I know you can’t give me a timeline or tell me if it will happen, but I would really like to know if it’s at all possible—so I can plan for the future. My hope is to grow my company with Square, however, we have a lot of Charge accounts and this is very important. Many thanks!

@Hillside What I would say in regards to this feature request is that while there hasn't been any new information around this specifically, I wouldn't rule it out as something that becomes available in the future. 

 

Seller advocacy is a huge driver for product updates, so hopefully this gains some momentum and our Invoice team can prioritize something like this soon.

I’ve tried emailing. All I got was a run around. They promoted the current features instead of seeing the potential. I wish this issue was taken seriously.

Would love to know what the invoice department at square will be putting out next. Invoices are important to any business.cant wait to see what they add.

Yes, there has been an update since my last post.  You can now see Invoices Paid, Outstanding, and drafts from the customer management screen in the dashboard.  You can also start a new invoice from there.    This information doesn't show up on the app.

I have a client who desires to pay their outstanding balance and has 4 outstanding invoices. Do they need to pay them one by one? Or can I combine them so he can square them all away at the same time? 

 

What options do I have?

The only way to do this is to cancel three of them and edit the remaining invoice to reflect the proper amount of all of them.  Then resend the link so they know which one to pay.
