How do I link an invoice to an appointment?

A client scheduled an appointment so I created an invoice from the Invoices tab. Their payment went thru, but the appointment on my calendar did not record it. When I manually recorded the payment, a new transaction was created. Now my transaction records are off. Is there a way to apply an invoice to an appointment(s) post-payment and/or link an invoice to an appointment pre-payment?

Is it possible to send an invoice from an existing appointment before the appointment takes place? I have clients who are interested in making their payment ahead of their scheduled appointment (sometimes weeks ahead). Can I send the invoice and still have the payment attached to their appointment?

It looks like right now it's a feature request we're tracking but not something we're able to offer yet.

We are just beginning to use the appointments feature integrated with google. Is it possible yet to link an invoice to an appointment/create an appointment from an invoice?

 

Ex: We provide twice monthly landscaping visits, after the recurring monthly invoice is paid, we would like to set the dates for service from that invoice as appointments on the calendar.

I don't believe we have exactly what you're looking for, but please take a look at my best answer in this thread. If you use the Appointments app, there is a way to send an invoice, which may be a good alternative for you.

Thank you for the reply. I am more looking to set up single or reoccurring monthly payments that are linked with appointments on the appointments calendar/sync to our Google calendar (if thats possible?). 

 

Ie: Our clients are invoiced and pay at the start of the month for services that occur twice a month. I wouldn't need to 'add services'/enter information again on the 'create appointment' screen... but would like their scheduled days to be on the calendar and linked to the invoice indicating that they have paid.

Thank you for the feedback on combining invoices and appointments. Currently, this would be a Feature Request for our Product Team. I will go ahead and tag this, so they can get eyes on it.

 

I appreciate you adding your voice to the evolution of our platforms. 

If someone calls me and I book their appointment for them online, is there any way to auto generate an invoice?

You can take a payment from an invoice but not create an invoice from an appt.?

Do you want a customer to pre-pay for the appointment? 

they have not paid at this point, just the appointment has been created, I'd like it to automatically send them an invoice to be paid.
