1.13.1 Retail App Crashes, Unstable

This is an odd issue. Ever since we updated our app to version 1.13.1, we've experienced:

 

  • Very, very, very frequent App Crashes
  • The inability to navigate to the "checkout" screen on some occasions
  • Very frequent passcode requests even when an authorized user is logged in and the screen hasn't timed out

 

We've tried to remedy the issue by doing the following:

 

  • Uninstalling and Reinstalling Square Retail


Our devices are on the latest version of iOS. I know this is an isolated issue with the Retail App itself because the beta version of the app seems to be working famously. Is this a known issue? It's very frustrating.

Hey @swimfun, I checked with our team that handles bugs and software issues and we haven't had any reports of Square for Retail crashing on this app version.

 

I recommend reaching out to our Customer Success Team if you haven't already. They might be able to have our Engineering Team look into these crashes.
