How can I deactivate swiping a CC on a Square register using Square for Retail

Hi- I need to prevent customers from swiping their cards on Square Register. We only want to accept chip cards to help prevent chargeback. I am currently using Square for Retail beta on Square Register

Hi @RWGWines! Welcome to the Community.

If the card has a chip on it- it should prompt them to insert it.

The only way to prevent cards without a chip would be up to the employees to state they don't accept them but unfortunately there's not a way to disable cards without chips being swiped.

If the card doesn't have a chip and it's swiped/disputed, you can still challenge said dispute!
