Hi there! We regularly donate gift cards to local charity raffles, and we give them out as prizes for our weekly trivia. I "comp" them in our system when I load the value onto the cards. My question is, when those gift cards are used, does the sale record as a regular sale? Or does it record as a discount/comp? I want to make sure we're not counting those sales as income, but I'm having a hard time to see how it's recorded in our daily sales summary. Thanks for your help!

Hello @roughdraftny, that's a good question!
So when you comp a gift card that sale will show as comped on your Square Dashboard. When the recipient comes in to redeem the card, it will show as a sale on your reports. I recommend writing a note on these gift cards so you can filter them on your transaction list.
If you still have questions please let me know!
