Right now I have shipping as a line item so that my customers don't pay tax on it, however the total of shipping charges each month are going into my gross sales total and those are not "sale" items so looks like my income is way more than really is on the tax for square sends me please help!!

You can find all of the information Square provides about tax as it relates to your account right here, as well as an overview of how we calculate it for the 1099-K.
