Why are contracts being sent automatically. I have the option to send with booking DISABLED,

I have had the option to send contracts at time of booking disabled for some time now, but all of a sudden Square is generating and sending contracts.  How can I stop this?

This shouldn't be happening. Once this function has been disabled it should no longer be generating and sending contracts.
