E gift cards

We have a customer trying to redeem a gift card on our online store, and it doesn’t seem to be working for him. He selects gift card on the checkout page, enters the card number, and it still asks for a credit card. He’s a bit confused as he’s not used to this, and this is the first e gift card we’ve used on our store. We awarded it to him as a prize for a contest on our Happs broadcast channel. Is there anything we need to do at our end to make his card valid? My thought is it’s asking for a credit card for whatever balance is left on the order, but we’re not getting all the information from him as he’s autistic. He’s a great supporter and we really want to help him. Thanks.

Thanks for posting your first post! Totally understand the confusion. Is your customer trying to redeem their gift card for a pickup, delivery, or shipping order ? If delivery, currently gift cards cannot be redeemed for those types of orders. 

 

Let me know if they're tying to select a different fulfillment type.
