If the students are buying the gift cards online, what you can do is create a Promotion Codes and give it to them so they'd only pay £100 and still be able to purchase a £150 gift card. To do this:
1. Visit your Square Dashboard > Gift Cards > eGift Cards > Promotions
2. Click Create Codes under Promotion Codes
3. Enter the desired promotion code. You can set the discount amount to £50 and the minimum load as £150. This mean that students will have to purchase at minimum a £150 in order to available of the discount. This means, they will pay £100 and get a £150 gift card.
4. Click Save
