Will Square Appointments be capable of booking classes or groups?

I see from the Square Appointments User Guide and FAQ that it can't be used to book classes or groups.

Is this something that is likely to be developed in the next 6-12 months?

We are looking to change booking provider and integration with our existing Square account would make perfect sense.

I don't have a timeline on when this will be available but I would encourage you to check out our Beta Community to join and potentially get access to new features first when we test them out.

Additionally, while group bookings isn't available with Square Appointments at the moment, we do integrate with a number of other booking & scheduling system like Acuity, Appointedd or Setmore which may have the feature you're looking for. You can find all our partners here.
