Feature Request: Change locations without logging out

The title of this post has been edited from the original: How to change locations on iPad?

 

I use the same iPad for different "locations".   The only way I can see to change locations is to log off and then log back in and choose the location I want. Is there a way to change locations while logged in?

@WBinc yes, square is disregarding this and other really important "feature requests" that shouldn't even need to be requested in the first place (they are so simple and logical that they should have been implemented to Square from the start). E.g. they have also been ignoring the request to be able to create a checkout link for specific locations on the square account (checkout links just route payments to the main location of the account!!! I have several locations and there is no way to generate a checkout link for an item or just any type of checkout link for one specific location in the account.)

The issue is that Square has been adding so many less useful (useless) "features" within the past year, instead of focusing on the actual important issues! e.g. they have been modifying the UI with barely any changes and the new UI added some bugs to my square terminal, they have added useless 'shifts' functionality which is extremely limited, contracts ... I really need square to make it possible to change between locations without logging out.

I have two locations and use the mobile app for credit card sales.  Is there a way to choose the location when I am putting through a sale through my phone?  I don't see that ability.  Only shows me the name and items at the one main location.  Thank you!

You have to log out of Square.  When you log back in it will ask you which location you want to use.

I see how long this request has been out.  It is such a waste of time for me to switch back and forth between my locations just to see the latest transaction.  Seriously, is there a way we can have a switch location option without having to log out and log back in?

you have got to be kidding me. This has been a problem for 5 years? What the he L L? This and other features I think would be common sense is apparently not priority in squares mind. Has these community forms ever even gotten square off their arses to do  anything? Common square....Make your current customers happy. all my business buddies are always looking for a good POS and I consistently steer them away from square just because of all these things that should be possible. Essential feature sets. So, I would think square is loosing customers by not making their current customers happy. I know of a handful that have left. I'm about too as soon as I have time to figure something out. 

If Square cared about the user base, this wouldn't still be an outstanding request after 6 years. They made some curbside pickup options available for the pandemic, so I know they have a programming team there somewhere. 

This is a major pain in the **bleep** that isn't being addressed, so now I'm looking at different POS options.

@Ria are there any updates to this? It is now March 2022
