Feature Request: Square Gift Card and eGift Card redemption via a third-party website

The title of this post has been edited from the original: Can Square gift cards be used in my Wix site?

We use Wix to host our small business website and just upgraded to their online store functionality becuase it gave us the ability to customize and look like a cohesive party of our website. 

We are still using Square to process our payments. We were wondering if Square gift cards and discount codes can still be redeemed on our website?

We've been really happy with our service with Square but really need more customization for selling our classes. Any help is appreciated! Thank you!

Hi Sean,  I am running into the same issue as this questioner from 4 years ago.  Is this still true of Wix sites, where you are not able to redeem a gift card code when a square link is embedded in the site?

How do I as as business owner find out the code given to the customer as their redemption code for me to put on Wix as a coupon code?

This may not be the most optimum solution but I currently have a Wix website that is tied to my square account for payments whereby I sell Square eGift Cards that are redeemable online and I am not using "Gifted" by Wix.  How?  First, I exported my wix store product list to a CSV file and then imported into my square account.  It only took about 5 minutes but I then created a simple online square product page automatically pulling in all the products I uploaded via the CSV file import.  The square webpage is very simple and will allow you to create a square sub-domain.

On my Wix site I then have a "Gift Card" link in my home page menu.  On that page there are two links, one to purchase the e-Gift cards from square and the other link directs you to my square sub-domain page where my clients can purchase the same items that are on my Wix website from my Square product website and and redeem using e-Gift cards.

I realize this is a little bit of work but my gift card revenue stream is important to my online business so for me this was a simple compromise until WIX developers to fix the linger issue that should be at the top of the list for faithful customers like me who have been with them almost 10 years.

Great news @dresdays WooCommerce now support Square Gift Cards.

At this time, Wix does not integrate with our Square Cards. If this changes, we will make sure to let you know.

Im confused now because on this page that I linked it says it can be used when square is integrated to the third party site?

I also asked another person in chat earlier and after doing some searching that square representative said it should work. I got a yes and a no in the same day lol
