Feature Request: Square Gift Card and eGift Card redemption via a third-party website

The title of this post has been edited from the original: Can Square gift cards be used in my Wix site?

We use Wix to host our small business website and just upgraded to their online store functionality becuase it gave us the ability to customize and look like a cohesive party of our website. 

We are still using Square to process our payments. We were wondering if Square gift cards and discount codes can still be redeemed on our website?

We've been really happy with our service with Square but really need more customization for selling our classes. Any help is appreciated! Thank you!

It looks like a handful of sellers brought up this question regarding the Square Online Store, and received an answer. Have a look at RB's reply for more info: Can Square Gift Cards be redeemed online as well as in person?

One point of clarification, are you set up with one of our e-commerce partners? You may need to touch base with them directly for more details on how to proceed. Let us know if anything else comes up!

I am not set up with one of Square's online partners.  My ecommerce site is GoCentral through Godaddy.  My site is set up to accept credit cards through Square but it will not give the option to use Square gift cards.  I have a link so customers can purchase the gift cards but they have no way of using them on my site.  www.walkermfg.net

Can my customers use plastic gift cards purchased in store on our Bigcommerce website? Or can they only be used on Squares free website option?

Currently, you cannot use gift cards with 3rd party integrations. They only work using Square's online store.

Sorry to keep you waiting, @mdwalker. I was able to get in touch with a product specialist and share your post. Unfortunately, the ability to use Square gift cards on third party partner websites isn't available at this time.

We'll keep track of this request. In the meantime, I would suggest touching base with GoCentral for additional options available on their end. Hope this helps get you in the right direction.

I want to offer Square eGift cards on my BigCommerce website.  When a customer purchases one, can they use it on my website even though it isn't a Square site?  And can we enter in the gift card code in our Square register in store and use it as you would a plastic gift card?  Thanks for any feedback!

who is the payment processor for your website?  if it isn't square the customer can't use the egift cards on the website.

yes, you can use instore by typing in the egift card number.

I've read here and there that someone that purchases an eGift card can redeem it at a POS or with the POS App. I've also seen noted they can be redeemed in your Square Online Store. My company is mostly online - ecommerce. We do go to events once in a while and sell there so we use the Square POS app and card reader, but 99% of our business in online. 

Our ecommerce is a Woocommerce store. Is that an acceptable Square Online Store? When I go to my dashboard and click "Online Store", I get forwarded to a Square page saying to use Weebly, Woocommerce or Bigcommerce e-commerce solutions. What exactly is a Square Online Store then? 

And...in the end...all I want to know is: If I offer my customers Square eGift Cards, can they redeem them in my websites woocommerce storefront? 

And if no...Anybody have a work around? or a good plugin that will work?

Square Online Store is the basic online store solution that Square offers and is built through your Square Dashboard. This offering is free, but most sellers opt for the integrations for the advanced suite of features. 

However, WooCommerce, and the other 3rd-party eCommerce integrations, aren't compatible with Square eGift Cards unfortunately.
