Hi there!
I have been using Square for a while now, but now the app refuses to connect to the reader, insisting there’s an update required and to “please update Point of Sale.”
My app is up to date, I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling, I’ve done a hard reset on my reader, I just don’t know what else I could do?!

Thanks for getting in touch and sorry to hear you're having trouble with the reader! Do you happen to be using the iOS 14.5 Beta operating system at the moment?
What you're describing is unfortunately a known issue with iOS14.5 Beta. While we will have this fixed for the live release of 14.5, at the moment you'd need to roll back to an earlier build (eg 14.4) to ensure your reader will work with iOS.
