One of the things I took away from the book:

In college, they taught techniques for the craft but didn't spend any time on marketing the craft.  It's my weak point and I know it.  Over the years I've gotten oh so many suggestions from various sources about "what I should do" to market my products. I had been diligently posting to social media and all the while thinking I was failing because nothing really measurable came from all that work.  I'm glad I read this book.  Now I know why and I'm retooling my marketing strategy from the ground up.
