Barcode

I am in Australia and now have Square for Retail. I purchased a Dymo Label Writer 450 and am printing out barcodes to go onto my pricing. My problem is that most of the barcodes won't read from the Barcode Scanner (ordered from Square). I have tried omitting hyphens, reducing the item name, etc etc. One of my barcodes scans perfectly but I can't understand why the rest won't scan? Can you help me?

Hey @juliead,

Thanks for getting in touch!

The barcodes that you print should be in a format supported by the scanner you're using - so what will work depends on the type of scanner you're using and the barcode formats it supports.

You may need to refer to documentation from the barcode scanner manufacturer to determine this. If you're using a Zebra baarcode scanner ordered from out shop you can find further documentation for it here.

We've also got a support article for bardcode scanners here, however your best best is to ensure the barcode formats you are printing are supported by the scanner you're using.

Hope this help, please let me know if you have any follow up questions!
