Card Reader Issues

We are experiencing technical difficulties with our card reader.We have rebooted all devices, fully charged them, reconnected blue tooth and inet​. Nothing will get it to connect. It shows 4 green lights when turning on the power. Flashes 4 orange lights wen plugged in to charge. It WILL NOT flash the orange lights to connect. We do NOT want to be charged the extra fees for having to swipe chip cards due to this problem. Any advice welcome.

First Question is, what device are you trying to use it with?

 

Also fees are the same for chip an swipe transactions.

This help article may help you out.

 

Is it actually pairing with the iPad?  Settings / Bluetooth   Does it say connected?  If it does and it still will not work in the app.  Go Back to Settings / Bluetooth,  Find it and click on it.  Select Forget this device and then pair it again and see if that works.

 

Make sure you have the latest Square Point of Sale App installed.

 

You can also reset the reader by holding the button on it down for about 20 seconds.  This may help as well.
