Credit Card non-responsive

During a very busy period the credit card reader (dip and tap) did not work on our Square Stand.  Prior to opening I had removed the "Manually Enter Credit Card number" from our payment method options.  

After I reinstated the "Manually Enter CC Number" to the payment method list, did the CC dip and tap readers work.  Did my removal of this option cause the reader to not work, or was this just a conincidence?

The removal of the payment option would not affect your Square hardware.  Can you confirm the device you're using and if you are still experiencing this issue with credit cards?
