Firewall and Port rules for Square Register

We are using the Square register and a wired ethernet connection. We wish to use this on an isolated network that only allows specific traffic through the firewall to the internet.

We have allowed the following through

 - squareup.com:80

 - squareup.com:443

 - api.squareup.com:443

but are still unable to sign in through this network. Does anyone have any experience with similar situations? It may be due to the device name, I'm not sure if that actually updates with the name in the register device configuration.

Follow up,

I just realized there is no where to enter in subnet mask. Ours is not the default 255.255.255.0 for class C IP addresses.

Hi @KylerC, welcome to the seller community and thanks for surfacing this.

It looks like you've covered the appropriate exclusions for the URLs and specific port numbers. If you're still encountering any trouble, you may want to check in with our CS Team—they'll be able to take a deeper dive into any other account-specific issues.

Logged on to our register last week and updated it, lo and behold there is now a field for Subnet Mask! Awesome!
