Item option default won't change

Hello all, 

 

At our restaurant we have a breakfast sandwich with your choice of protein. Normally when you ring up that item, you tap the sandwich, select the protein, and add the sandwich to the order. Then the ticket prints with the selected protein and all is well. 

Very recently, when you select a protein, the ticket rings up with bacon as the protein option along with what you selected.

For example, you ring up a breakfast sandwich with sausage and the ticket will read:

"Breakfast Sandwich

Bacon

Sausage" 

Even if you want bacon, it'll read:

"Breakfast Sandwich

Bacon 

Bacon" 

 

Is there a default option for the bacon that maybe got turned on or something? 

It's a minor annoyance but when we are busy, it adds extra time that we can't afford or it causes orders to be made wrong. 

 

Ideas?

@Segonzalez do you have an extra modifier by chance that auto applies bacon to the items? If this was created to be applied to a specific set of items it is possible it was applied to "all" items and that's why you are seeing this issue.

 

I would suggest checking your Modifiers on the Square Dashboard to see if that's the case. If not, please let me know and we keep working on this.
