My reader will not work with a credit card from SunTrust. Why? Reader works with all other cards.

I have one customer that the credit card consistently requies me to manually enter card number. Client has no problem at other swipe machines.

Really sorry for the frustration with this—that does sound strange.😕

 

Is the app providing any kind of error message? Depending on the kind of reader that you're using, these troubleshooting tips usually resolve these kinds of issues right away: Square Magstripe Reader Troubleshooting.

 

In addition, you may want to run this by our Customer Success Team so they can check for more details on the payment attempts. Hope this helps clear things up!
