Our POS (square stand and card reader) abruptly stopped working yesterday - tried every troubleshooting option we could find: turned internet and Bluetooth on and off on device, reset internet router, unplugged and powered down everything, "forgot" card reader on Bluetooth and reconnected, reset everything possible to no avail. Shows full internet connection, says stand and printer are connected, but card reader says "connecting" and orange line across the top of screen says "establishing secure connection" constantly. It seems impossible to talk to a square rep and this is costing us money in an already challenging time - looking for any advice or help, next option is a totally new pos system with another company as square's customer service is consistently disappointing!
I'm going to assume you found and tried these steps?

Hmm, did you make sure the iOS on your iPad is up to date as well as reinstall the app? @DcoffeeTN
